Temperature control
Six presets from chilled to near-boiling.
Select the intended temperature before dispensing. The display retains the last temperature setting, while the measured-volume default is 250 ml.
Cold
Chilled drinking water after the cooling cycle is ready.
Ambient
Unheated RO water for everyday drinking.
Warm
A warm-water preset; follow separate food-safety guidance.
Hot
For warm drinks and everyday preparation.
Hotter
For drinks that call for hotter water.
Near-boiling
The highest preset; handle the vessel and steam carefully.
On the first hot dispense after power-on, ambient water runs for about eight seconds before the selected hot temperature begins. Treat the display as a set point and check the actual outlet condition for temperature-sensitive tasks.
Plug-and-fill routine
Three water spaces, each with a different job.
The source tank feeds the RO process, the removable pitcher stores purified water and a small internal tank supports chilled dispensing.
5 L source tank
Fill to the MAX line. The appliance alerts for low level, removal, an open cover or source water above the 1,000 ppm TDS warning threshold.
1.6 L purified pitcher
The removable pitcher auto-fills with treated water and can move to the table, refrigerator or cooking area.
0.37 L cold tank
A small internal reservoir supports chilled dispensing and has its own low-water indicator.
No inlet or drain
There is no fixed water connection. Follow the source-tank prompts and complete the refill, discard and cleaning routine.
15.6 L/hour purification
The published purified-water flow is a production rate, not a promise that every temperature mode dispenses continuously at that rate.
NanoPure filtration
Four treatment stages in one cartridge.
A nominal 0.0001 µm RO membrane sits between the sediment and carbon stages. Reduction performance depends on the cartridge, source water and operating conditions.
Larger particles
Captures sediment, sand and other suspended matter before later stages.
Taste and odour
Carbon treatment is used for chlorine, odour and selected organic compounds.
Dissolved matter
The manufacturer specifies a nominal 0.0001 µm membrane for the core RO stage.
Final polish
A final carbon stage is used for taste and odour before storage and dispensing.
HydroFirst+ is marketed to reduce rust, chlorine, PFOS/PFOA, pesticides, antibiotics, heavy metals, VOCs, microplastics, bacteria, viruses and odours. Ask Velta Malaysia for current exact-model test data when a particular substance matters to your household.
Display, alerts & safety
The operating state stays visible.
The panel brings temperatures, volumes, inlet and outlet TDS, tank levels, filtration, cooling, child lock, filter prompts and reset controls together.
Inlet and outlet TDS
Compare the appliance readings before and after treatment; do not treat TDS as a complete contaminant test.
Source-tank alerts
Low water, removal, open cover and a high source-water TDS warning have distinct light and beep patterns.
Pitcher and cold-tank alerts
Separate indicators show a low or removed pitcher and low water in the internal cold tank.
Filter prompt
The filter symbol flashes and beeps when the cartridge is due for replacement.
Child lock
Warm and hot dispensing require the lock to be released; it returns automatically after inactivity.
Five-minute sleep
After five minutes without use, only the dispense button remains lit. Press any control to wake the panel.
First setup
Commission the filter before the first glass.
Complete the initial rinse and discard the first three tanks of purified water before drinking. Do not skip this commissioning sequence.
Place
Use a stable, level surface near power, away from direct heat and sunlight, with 20 cm ventilation clearance.
Install filter
Remove the cap, twist the cartridge clockwise to lock and push the hose terminal until it clicks.
Fill source tank
Clean the tank first, then fill with source water to the MAX line and seat the lid and tank correctly.
Auto-rinse
Power on for the automatic two-minute pre-rinse, followed by an initial purification cycle of about ten minutes.
Discard three tanks
Discard the first three tanks of purified water before drinking to commission the filter media.
Care & filter ownership
One cartridge, one prompt, one replacement plan.
Plan for filter supply before ordering, and use the appliance’s built-in cleaning and replacement controls throughout ownership.
3,600 L or 12 months
Replace at the first limit reached or earlier when the device prompts or source-water and performance conditions require it.
About 5–6 minutes
Place a container below, release the child lock, fill the source tank and hold dispense for five seconds to start the cycle.

Placement planning
Measure the machine, vessels and airflow.
No plumbing does not mean no planning. HydroFirst+ still needs a stable surface, a suitable high-load power point, ventilation and room to lift both removable vessels.
- Body
- 233 × 424 × 414 mm; measure the full depth and dispensing space.
- Airflow
- Allow 20 cm clearance around the sides and choose a cool, dry position.
- Power
- Use a suitable nearby point for a published 2,270 W total load.
- Access
- Leave room above and beside the appliance to remove the source tank, pitcher and filter cover.
Hydrogen-ready source water
Pair purified output with Hhuhu—after checking the reading.
HydroFirst+ can prepare purified base water for the Hhuhu Hydrogen Milker. Actual compatibility depends on source water, filter condition and outlet TDS.
- Purify
- Run the HydroFirst+ RO process and use the purified-water pitcher.
- Check
- Confirm the current outlet reading against Hhuhu’s stricter source-water operating limit.
- Transfer
- Fill Hhuhu with compatible purified water; HydroFirst+ does not itself generate hydrogen.
- Maintain
- Follow both appliances’ separate filter, cleaning and warranty instructions.

Why every Velta purifier includes TDS monitoring.
Is your water filter working right now? Most families can hear the appliance and taste the water, but neither tells them how strongly the RO membrane is reducing dissolved material.
Illustrative reading—your inlet and outlet values will vary.
Assumption is not measurement.
Incoming TDS can change with the water source, building storage, internal plumbing, temperature and season. The same purifier can therefore receive very different water from one home to another.
A visible performance trend.
A consistently lower RO reading shows that the membrane is still reducing the overall dissolved load. A sharp or lasting change gives you a reason to check the source water, filter status and appliance—instead of waiting for taste to change.
One glance. A useful daily check. TDS does not identify PFAS, arsenic, microorganisms or any individual contaminant, so it is not a laboratory report. What it does provide is something most filters never show: immediate evidence that dissolved-solids reduction is happening.
Frequently asked questions
HydroFirst+ FAQs.
Practical answers about setup, temperatures, filter care, source water and local support.
01Does HydroFirst+ need plumbing?
+
No. HydroFirst+ is a plug-and-fill countertop purifier. Fill the removable 5-litre source tank, place the appliance near a suitable power point and follow the tank prompts. It does not need a fixed cold-water inlet or drain.
02What water goes into the source tank?
+
Fill the cleaned source tank with tap water up to its MAX line. Use water within the appliance operating limits, and replace it if the high-TDS warning appears. The warning threshold is 1,000 ppm.
03Which temperatures and serving volumes can I choose?
+
The six temperature presets are 10°C, 25°C, 40°C, 60°C, 80°C and 95°C. The four measured volumes are 100 ml, 250 ml, 330 ml and 500 ml. The default volume is 250 ml and can be changed on the display.
04Can I use the 40°C setting for infant formula?
+
Do not treat a preset name or display value as food-safety guidance. Follow the current instructions from the formula manufacturer and health authorities for preparation water, handling and cooling, and verify the actual outlet condition. HydroFirst+ provides selectable temperatures; it does not validate a preparation process.
05How often is the HydroFirst+ filter replaced?
+
Replace the NanoPure cartridge after up to 3,600 litres or 12 months, whichever comes first. The appliance also shows a replacement prompt. Actual life can be shorter depending on source-water quality and use.
06What do the inlet and outlet TDS readings prove?
+
They let you compare the appliance readings before and after RO treatment and watch for a change over time. TDS is not a test for every possible contaminant, microorganism or performance claim, so it should be treated as an operating indicator rather than a complete water-safety result.
07What must I do before drinking the first water?
+
Install the filter, clean and fill the source tank, let the automatic two-minute pre-rinse and initial purification complete, then discard the first three tanks of purified water. This commissions the filter media and clears initial air and harmless carbon particles.
08How long does cooling take?
+
The cooling indicator flashes during cooling and becomes solid when ready. Reaching the target cold condition typically takes about 40–50 minutes after cooling is switched on, depending on room and source-water conditions.
09Can HydroFirst+ supply the Hhuhu Hydrogen Milker?
+
Yes, when the purified outlet water meets Hhuhu’s source-water limit. Check the current HydroFirst+ outlet TDS before filling Hhuhu, because the result varies with source water and filter condition.
10What warranty does HydroFirst+ have in Malaysia?
+
HydroFirst+ includes a 12-month standard warranty plus a 12-month extended warranty for manufacturing defects under normal household use. Consumables and other exclusions in the Malaysia warranty policy are not covered.
