A gas molecule written H₂.
Hydrogen knowledge centre
Explore the science of molecular hydrogen.
Learn the fundamentals, compare inhalation and hydrogen-rich water, and separate product facts from developing research.
Start here · Why molecular hydrogen?
A very small molecule with a growing research story.
Molecular hydrogen is H₂—two hydrogen atoms joined as a colourless, odourless gas. It is different from the hydrogen already bound inside every water molecule, and different from hydrogen peroxide.
Researchers became interested in H₂ because it can move through water, gas and biological environments with unusual ease. Studies explore how it may interact with redox balance, inflammation and cell signalling. That makes it worth understanding, not a shortcut to a guaranteed health result.
Dissolved in water or delivered by an inhalation system.
Its behaviour in redox and signalling pathways is an active research question.
Learn oxidative stress, then evaluate each study and product on its own evidence.

Health information
Molecular hydrogen is being studied in several areas, but a research finding is not automatically proof that a consumer product prevents or treats disease. These guides explain what is known, what remains uncertain and how the technologies differ.
Velta’s hydrogen range includes inhalation systems, an oxyhydrogen system and a hydrogen-rich-water appliance. This knowledge centre explains the science first, then gives each technology and product its proper place.

- 02What is hydrogen inhalation?
How hydrogen-containing gas is generated and delivered, and why hydrogen and oxyhydrogen systems should not be treated as identical.
- 03What is hydrogen water?
What dissolved H₂ means, how it differs from alkaline water and what to ask when comparing a generator.

Three Velta systems, three different roles
Scroll table horizontally →
| System | What it provides | How it is used |
|---|---|---|
| HydroVitality | An oxyhydrogen gas mixture generated by the device | Inhalation using the supplied delivery setup and exact product instructions |
| Hhuhu Hydrogen Inhaler | A hydrogen inhalation system | Inhalation according to the model’s own instructions and safety guidance |
| Hhuhu Hydrogen Milker | Hydrogen-rich water | Generates drinking water containing dissolved molecular hydrogen; it is not an inhaler |
Product-specific session, cleaning and maintenance instructions are not interchangeable. Always use the manual for the exact product.
