HydroView+ · Under-sink installation

Installing HydroView+ below the sink.

Plan cabinet space, the dual-outlet faucet, cold-water inlet, reject-water drain, protected power and enough cartridge clearance before any drilling or fabrication.

Installation overview

The hidden appliance needs visible planning.

HydroView+ shares a working cabinet with the trap, valves, stored items and tubing, while its dedicated faucet changes the worktop above.

01

Outcome

Ambient RO drinking water and composite-filtered rinse water through a dedicated dual-outlet faucet, with the purifier below the sink.

02

Primary constraint

The 165 mm-wide body is 381 mm deep and 435 mm high. It must fit around the trap and valves with extra height to lift out both cartridges.

03

Complete connection

Plan the cold-water inlet and isolation, RO reject-water drain, dedicated faucet and protected electrical supply as one installation.

04

Trade-off

HydroView+ is ambient-only. Agree the faucet, drain, power and service route before drilling so the clean worktop does not hide a cramped cabinet.

Six site checks

Open the cabinet before measuring it.

Cabinet dimensions alone do not reveal traps, valves, shelves, bins, concealed services or the movement needed for filter changes.

01

Photograph the open cabinet

Take one wide image and close views of the trap, valves, rear wall, power, shelves, bins and proposed appliance position.

02

Measure around obstacles

Confirm the 165 × 381 × 435 mm body fits without loading plumbing, blocking isolation valves or losing cartridge-lift clearance.

03

Plan inlet and reject drain

Identify a suitable cold-water connection with isolation and a secure falling route for RO reject water. Protect every tube from kinks and stored items.

04

Agree faucet fabrication

Check whether an existing opening can be reused or a new hole is required. Confirm worktop material, clearances below and who is authorised to drill.

05

Provide protected power

Use a properly earthed, accessible supply suitable for the appliance and the below-sink environment. Keep plugs and connections away from leaks and standing water.

06

Prove cartridge removal

Physically demonstrate the lift and turning space for both cartridges after all pipework and stored items are returned to the cabinet.

Installation record

Record what will disappear below the sink.

Clear measurements and connection photographs make the installation serviceable long after the cabinet doors close.

01 · Site facts

Map cabinet and worktop

Keep the home type and general area, open-cabinet measurements, worktop material, model, faucet position, inlet, drain, power, proposed date and approvals.

02 · Written approval

Approve fabrication first

Obtain owner, landlord, JMB/MC, cabinet-maker or worktop-contractor approval before drilling or altering plumbing. Public image consent is separate.

03 · Handover

Test faucet and cabinet

Run both faucet outputs, inspect for leaks and reject-water flow, operate the isolation valve, prove cartridge removal and record the final tubing route.

After installation

Keep the cabinet safe and serviceable.

The owner should know which output is which, how to isolate the appliance and what access must never be blocked.

01 · Register

Retain route photographs

Keep proof of purchase, model and serial details, the final faucet and cabinet record and warranty information.

02 · Maintain

Follow both cartridge prompts

Replace at capacity or time, whichever comes first: CF 4,000 L or 12 months; RO 8,000 L or 24 months.

03 · Support

Inspect before moving stored items

If flow, taste, leakage or drain behaviour changes, photograph the faucet and open cabinet before disturbing tubing, then contact Velta Malaysia.
