When the room keeps telling you it is damp

That is not simply a cleaning problem. Fogged windows, damp corners and marks returning behind furniture often point to moisture that has nowhere to go.
Mould is a fungus. Its tiny spores are already present in everyday air; when surfaces stay damp, they can begin growing on paint, wood, paper, fabric, carpet and household dust.
The US EPA identifies 30–50% relative humidity as ideal where practical, and recommends staying below 60%.

Two ways to handle collected water
Use the tank, or set up continuous drainage.
For ordinary room use, moisture collects in the removable 3.8-litre tank and the machine stops automatically when the tank is full. For longer uninterrupted operation, connect a suitable hose to the continuous-drain outlet.

Practical ownership
Powerful moisture control without a demanding routine.
Good performance depends on airflow, tank care and a clean filter. The recurring work is straightforward.
Empty the tank—or connect a drain.
Use the removable 3.8-litre tank for ordinary operation, or a suitable hose for continuous drainage.
Clean the air filter every two weeks.
Vacuum or rinse it, then allow it to dry completely before reinstalling.
Give the machine room to breathe.
Keep at least 30 cm clear around the air path and place it on a flat, stable surface.

Before you choose
AirLab D30S questions.
Will D30S cool the room?
No. A dehumidifier removes moisture from the air; it is not an air conditioner. The room may feel more comfortable when excess humidity is reduced, but D30S is not designed to lower room temperature.
Can I leave it running overnight?
Yes, when it is placed and operated according to the manual. Sleep mode is the appropriate overnight routine, and the machine stops automatically when its tank is full.
Do I have to empty the tank?
With tank collection, yes. Alternatively, connect a suitable hose to a safe drain route for continuous drainage.
Does it help with mould?
Reducing persistent excess humidity helps make the environment less supportive of condensation and mould growth. Existing mould should still be cleaned appropriately, and any leak or water-entry source must be repaired.
How often should I clean the filter?
Check and clean the air filter every two weeks. Vacuum it or rinse it, then let it dry completely before reinstalling. Follow the machine prompt for HEPA filter attention.
Where should I place D30S?
Use a flat, stable surface and keep at least 30 cm clear around the unit. Keep doors and windows closed during dehumidification and do not block the inlet or outlet.
